Albania’s Trade Deficit Reduced in February 2011

D.Shistohilis - 25.03.2011An increase in the export of Albanian goods has led to a reduction of the trade deficit last month. According to the latest data published from the Albanian Institute of Statistics, exports in February 2011 totaled 20,049 million Albanian Leks. They were up 35.7 percent from January 2011, while the year on year increase was 77.4 percent. Meanwhile, imports were up 7.2 percent compared to January 2011, and up 17.9 percent year on year. The trade deficit in February 2011 was 17,684 million Albanian Leks, down 13.4 percent from the previous month, while it was down 14.5 percent year on year.
