Electrabel has signed an agreement with REpower Systems AG, the third-largest German manufacturer of wind turbines, to order a maximum of 250 REpower wind energy turbines, the Suez-owned (NYSE:SZEZY) Belgian electricity group said in a statement.
The turbines will be delivered between 2009 and 2011 in order to construct new wind farms in Europe. Suez aims to generate 18% of its energy from renewable sources by 2009.
